March is upon us! March is reading month so there will be many fun activities! Look for information coming home on Monday in your child's folder! Monday we will be wearing red, white or black to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday!
In our PYP unit How we Express Ourselves: Storytelling we have been learning all about Myths. We learned the elements of a myth and started reading many Greek Myths. We took our knowledge of characters and their traits from Greek Myths and starting making diamante poems! We used this website to publish our very own poems!
In Math we have finished learning about measurement, graphing and telling time. We reviewed all the things we have learned. We then took our test on the topic. We will start our next unit on Multidigit Subtraction and Addition next week!
In Science we got introduced to our new class animal to study, the beetle. We got to observe the beetle's properties and behaviors. It was very exciting. We even got to be very quiet and listen to the noise they make. We compared our beetles to our crayfish and talk about their common properties. We will take our science test on this unit next week. A review sheet will be coming next week.
On Friday we got to hear all about the Lucky Fin Project! We sang songs and learned how great is is that we are all different! Check out the picture below!
