Things are really starting to get rolling in Ms. Golda's 3rd grade. This week we started our unit on Stone Fox. We are working on many reading skills, such as grammar and comprehension while reading this great book in class. In writing we are continuing to work on our realistic fiction stories. This week we practiced setting the scene of our stories using good descriptive words with help from our senses. In math we are working on multiplication and division with our 5s. We learned how to use equal groups and skip counting to solve these problems. Students have been doing a great job of turning in all their homework!
We finally got our planners which is a great way for you to see what we are doing each day! I will have students write the daily schedule and any homework in their planners, at the end of everyday! I hope you have enjoyed seeing this come home as well.
We had a special visitor, my dad, come in to meet the students and the students got to ask him questions about Ms. Golda. He got most of them right but the students got them ALL right!! They really know me well!
Today students got their log in information for Raz Kids. This is a great website students can use to help them with reading at home. Look for the log in information on the first page of the planner! Click the link below to be taken to the Raz Kids website!
