We really enjoyed the beautiful spring weather this week.
In our PYP Where We Are in Time and Place: Location,Location,Location for Reading we started to learn about Climate and how that affects the way we live. We learned about different climates around the world. We also learned the difference between weather and climate. We learned about Michigan's climate and the types of animals that live here. We also labelled a map of Michigan's climate.
In Writing we continued working on Personal Narratives. We focused on adding descriptive detail, describing actions and adding dialogue to our stories. These skills help our stories come alive and be more interesting to the reader!
In Math we starting our new unit all about story problems. Students will be solving story problems based on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This will be a quick unit but important one!
In Science we started our Forces and Motion unit! We watched some videos about Forces and Motion and Sir Issac Newton to spark our interest in the topic! This is sure to be a fun and exciting unit!
